What You Need To Know About The Coal Miners Daughter Judge Terri Jamison
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
The Court’s power to profoundly impact the lives of Ohioans has too often been overlooked or undervalued.
I’ve come a long way from the coal mines of West Virginia. After moving to Columbus and operating my own business for 16 years, I decided to pursue my law degree. During my time as a practicing lawyer and then as a Judge in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division - Juvenile Branch, I used my experience and background to empower families and increase access to justice. I want to show that our courts serve the public, and don’t answer to any party or those funding election campaigns.
I’m running for Ohio Supreme Court to help restore public trust in our legal system. Rulings from the Ohio Supreme Court impact our day-to-day lives. The personal beliefs, philosophies, and principles of the justices determine the outcomes of cases and shape our society. Cases involving workers’ rights impact how we earn our living. Reproductive rights, taxation and the economy, and the school system affect how we seek healthcare, start a small business, or educate our children.
I’ve worked hard in my courtroom to ensure that all Ohioans have access to the courts and competent legal counsel.
As a Justice on the Ohio Supreme Court, I will keep fighting to remove burdensome costs, and unnecessary delays, and ensure that everyone coming before the court has their fair hearing and opportunity to be heard.
The Ohio Supreme Court profoundly impacts how we live our lives every day. I am running for Justice because I take that responsibility seriously. Ohioans deserve a fourth justice who believes strongly in democracy, an independent court, and that justice should be accessible to all.

Chris Ronayne - Heavy Is The Crown
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Chris Ronayne is running for Cuyahoga County Executive because he believes our County needs a fresh start and a chance to get back on track. He will bring bold, dynamic change to our county and will leverage our unique opportunities and assets to benefit all county residents.
Chris is a time-tested leader. He has spent career building partnerships across Cuyahoga County and is ready to move our county forward. Chris is not a politician but a leader who is ready to listen and lead with transparency. It’s time to return to what voters originally intended in 2009 and usher in real reform with experienced and effective leadership.
Chris began his career in public service with the County Planning Commission where he developed community reinvestment plans and in Cuyahoga County government where he launched the Division of Employer Resources. Here, Chris saw the best of county government, where the private, nonprofit and public sectors worked together to achieve results.
For 16 years, Chris served as the President of University Circle Inc. (UCI), a non-profit community service corporation. Chris achieved measurable results, transforming Ohio’s education, medical, and cultural district into a thriving complete community. He delivered more than 2,500 new and renovated neighborhood homes to the area, developed after-school and summer programs that engaged more than 10,000 students each year, helped bring a grocery store to a food desert and connected small businesses to Cleveland’s arts, education and healthcare institutions. He stepped down from his role at UCI in 2021 to launch his campaign for County Executive.
Chris serves on the board of Destination Cleveland, is Chair of the Canalway Partners Board of Directors, and is past Chair of the Port of Cleveland Board of Directors. In these roles, Chris was a leader on innovative projects like the Cleveland-Europe Express container service and the newly completed Towpath Trail.
In 2001, Chris was campaign manager for Jane Campbell, the first woman elected mayor in Cleveland’s history. At the City of Cleveland, he became Planning Director, where he led initiatives like the Cleveland Lakefront Plan and the Euclid Corridor. As chief architect of the Cleveland Lakefront Plan, he and his team engaged with 5,000 residents in the visioning process, secured tens of millions of dollars in state and federal funds, and laid the groundwork for projects that have received hundreds of millions in investment. Chris then served as Chief of Staff and Chief Development Officer in Cleveland where he oversaw over 5,000 employees and managed a budget of $1.5 billion.

Meet Cuyahoga County Council Pres. Pernel Jones! The Unlikely Superhero
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
If you're a fan of comics, then you'll definitely want to watch this interview! Council President Purnell Jones shares his love of comics with us, talks about his career in politics, and shares his views on Cuyahoga County.
This is a great interview for comic book fans and anyone interested in politics.
40,000 comic books. Oh, hold on. Wait a minute. Did you say you got 40,000 comic books, man?
Jesus, somewhere around there. What did you, where, how, you got 'em all? Chron, of like. They are, they're bagged and boarded. Mm-hmm. . Okay. Keep them protected.
Mm-hmm. . And they're in boxes like drawers, like file cabinets, uhhuh, but hard cardboard boxes that are drawer shaped. Okay. And you stack them up five at a time. Mm-hmm. . And so you have a file cabinet, so it looks like a file cabinet and you line up along the wall. How long have you been collecting comics? I have been collecting comics since I.
Five years old. Wow. It started off with a TV show. Mm-hmm. , if you remember back for those old enough, there was a super friends cartoon. Oh yeah. Right, right, right. Well, one day we were driving, mom was driving us by like a seven 11 or something and we went into the store and there was this turn style, of comic books.
Mm-hmm. . And I saw Superfriends comic book, just like the TV show. Mm-hmm. . I said, oh, I want that. And mom bought it for me. And, you know, I'm five, and I barely know how to read. Mm-hmm. , she read it to me when I was at. Okay.
That was my first comic book. I loved it. Mm-hmm. , I just loved everything about comic books. Mm-hmm. , and from then on I was buying them. I saved them. I kept everyone I ever had. I still have that one. It's probably worth about $3,, but it's a sentimental value to it of all the ones I have. Mm-hmm. And I've just been reading them ever since.
How big have you ever got your collection too? Oh man, I probably got it, I have 40,000 comic books. Oh, hold on. Wait a minute.
Superman was my favorite character.
Well, I am first among equals Okay. Of the 11 of us. Mm-hmm. I lead our council the legislative branch of county government. Mm-hmm. in like every seventh grade. You know, history, government class, they teach you three branches of government. Mm-hmm. , the executive, legislative and judicial branches.
I lead the legislative branch of county government. Mm-hmm. , we make the laws, and we write the laws for our governmental jurisdiction. Mm-hmm. we handle the budget. The finances of the county. That is our mandate. Okay. And outta you guys, how many county council members are there?
What falls under health and human services? Health and human services mean you name a vulnerable population within this county. Mm-hmm. , it's our job to do something to help them with that, that fragile nature. Vulnerable populations aren't the poor. Mm-hmm. , we oversee all and facilitate cash assistance.
Okay. We do that. People struggling with drugs and alcohol. Mm-hmm. , we deliver and do dollars to help with those concerns. Those incarcerated. Mm-hmm. . Okay. We have the, oversee the county jail. Mm-hmm. , but seniors. Seniors, it's our job to help them to continue to live independently. But we also have the responsibility of removing individuals from homes, if age has become to a point where they cannot live independently.
So what do you mean by that? Okay. There comes a time for every person as they age when they're just not able. To take care of themselves. Okay. Time does that. You may have family and they bring you into the home. That's a good thing. If your children or those that love you are able to keep you in the home.
But if you are living independently and the time comes and there is no other recourse, it's our job to help, you with that transition. Get services and things that can help you. Provide services, and take care of yourself first. Help you stay independent. They stay independent.

”Meet Dr. Gregory Hall how he change my life and Watch What He Did Next...”
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Thursday Jan 26, 2023
Dr, Greg Hall is a life save that is what he did for me nice conversation learn a lot about men's health.
Greg Hall, MD, is an internal medicine physician practicing at UH Richmond Medical Center. This new role through the Cutler Center, which helps men navigate the health system to access the resources and experts they need, will complement his role as a primary care physician (PCP). Dr. Hall will help to coordinate, develop, and implement protocols to ensure the delivery of highly-specialized, quality care through the Cutler Center's medical team.
"We want to change the mindset of men and improve their health outcomes. We can do better at coordinating care across our primary care physicians and specialists provide more preventative screenings and offer chronic disease management," said Lee Ponsky, MD, FACS, Executive Director of the UH Cutler Center for Men. "Greg's leadership in the community and his clinical background will help to shape the UH network of providers as well as our partnerships and outreach."
The UH Cutler Center for Men program helps men get to the experts and resources they need for a lifetime of physical, lifestyle, and emotional health. Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy and Sally Cutler, their visionary approach to health care will provide a virtual sandbox for emerging technologies and consumer-centered design; it will streamline, customize and take the headaches out of care for men, setting UH on a path to leadership in men's health and wellness.
I have been seeing Dr.Hall and his family for over 30yrs. He helps me to make some tuff decisions about my health that changed my life
Dr. Hall will assist in building the Cutler Center for Men provider network to ensure a team-based approach across primary care physicians and experts in cardiovascular, sleep, integrative health, digestive health, and other specialty areas across the system. He will champion men's clinical care and represent UH within the community and to external partners. Dr. Hall will manage community events as well, bringing together men to share perspectives to better understand the unique obstacles they face, and guide the development of a roadmap for change.
"I am thrilled for the opportunity to get in at the ground floor of the UH Cutler Center for Men. This position will allow me to funnel my past experience into a focused effort toward men in the region," said Dr. Hall. "Breaking down barriers to health disparities and those in underserved populations is a personal and professional passion of mine. This is about motivating men to prioritize their health, and we can reach them wherever they are, any stage, any age."

Sheila Wright: She Was Just an Average Joe Until THIS Happened!
Wednesday Jan 25, 2023
Wednesday Jan 25, 2023
Sheila Wright is the Co-Founder, President, and Managing Partner of Frontline Development Group, LLC. She worked for ten years under the direction of Albert B. Ratner, former CEO and Chair Emeritus of Forest City Realty Trust. She serves as Board Chair of Karamu House, the oldest black-producing theater in the country… CLEVELAND, Ohio – Six houses set to go up in Cleveland's East Side neighborhood may seem like a relatively modest development. Still, it's part of grander ambitions for the city's long-distressed Hough neighborhood. Developer Sheila Wright said at a groundbreaking ceremony Sunday that she hopes to start construction on the homes at East 65th Street and Linwood Avenue, north and west of League Park, before the end of the year. The homes will have two layouts: 1,800 square feet and 2,200 square feet. The development is dubbed "Allen Estates," after Carolyn Watts Allen and Robert Allen. Both built homes in Hough in the 1990s and advocated for the neighborhood. All are set to be owned by Black residents. Wright and her business partner Angela Bennett, who make up Frontline Development, are planning to move in, and other homeowners are already lined up. Pricing is still undetermined but Wright said the aim is to make the houses affordable. It's the first real estate project for Wright, known for her philanthropic and civil rights work in Cleveland, but she aims to make it a jumping-off point to improve Hough, which has long suffered from high crime rates and poverty. "We said we need homes and other people might too. And we hope to use this development and use our company as an opportunity to build wealth," Wright said from the stage Sunday. The estimated $2.1 million development is part of phase one for the area. While Wright and Bennett aren't ready to publicly divulge all details, Wright said Sunday that she envisions 15 homes, 46 brownstones and two buildings with apartments and retail on the first floor. That's on top of a series of projects set for west of Hough in the MidTown neighborhood, including a new headquarters for the Cleveland Foundation at East 66th Street and Euclid Avenue and a nearby "innovation district," where researchers and college students can collaborate on projects, likely in the medical technology field. New and old residents hope the projects revitalize Hough.
